Hey Mama, 
 
Have you ever sat down and really thought about the way you look at money? Do you feel like you want to do more for others, but your bank account just won’t let it happen? Are you ready to stop stressing over your finances when tragedy hits? These thoughts have haunted me every single time I see someone in need. I want to help so badly, but my inner alarms go off telling me that I don’t have the income to help them or else I will be in danger and they always win out. As I sat down to write up this episode I got deep into the roots of why I think these thoughts. What is keeping me from giving my money to those who are in need the way Jesus would give his own shirt. Why can’t I be like him? I feel torn between doing what’s right and staying safe. In this episode you will learn who is really in control and whether you have allowed money to become your idol, along with the side effects that come with the idolatry of money.

Hello my friend, it’s so good to be here with you today as I’m sitting here thinking about all of the goals my husband and I have set for this coming year. Now who knows if my budget will be able to stand up to all of these dreams and desires, but It's still a rush when I think of all of the things that we would like to accomplish this year. It's that rush that brings the excitement for my budgeting plan. It's that rush that keeps me motivated and accountable when using my budget each month. I know that come the end of the year exhaustion tends to overcome the rush, but it is so important to set these goals and dreams. Have you sat down with your spouse and thought through the things you want your money to do for you? Have you made a game plan on how you are going to achieve them? Well that is what we are going to talk about today! Whether you have 50 dollars left at the end of your paycheck or 2000, you want to make sure that each dollar has a job and the best way to do that is by setting goals! 
 
So head to the kitchen, grab a nice WARM drink because I don't know where you live, but as I’m recording it is currently in the negatives as a high and my warm drinks have been my best friend. But I digress, so go grab that warm drink, pop in them headphones and let’s get to it.
